RESEARCH NOTE

Crypto Perpetual Funding + Open Interest Screener

Funding and Open Interest answer different questions. Funding shows the cost and direction of perpetual positioning; short-term OI shows whether derivatives exposure is being added or removed.

What matters

A useful scanner should not treat either as a trade signal. Deep negative funding can persist while price keeps falling. Rising OI can be new longs, new shorts, hedges or basis positions. The value comes from combining them with price structure, volume and basis, then deciding which charts deserve manual inspection first.

How Money Radar uses this

Money Radar uses Funding, short-term OI, 15m structure, volume and perp basis to create a research shortlist. Missing required data is excluded rather than replaced with zero.
